Family is Funny.

Good Morning,

So I know it is kind of early for this but remember I am trying not to over post on facebook and I have a couple things to say.

Last night I was cooking tilapia and Paula Deen's recipe said to use a cast iron pan.. well I don't have one but my Dad has a few so I called him.

Me: Hey Dad, do you have a cast iron pan you would want to give your daughter?
Him: Do I want to saw my arm off and give it to charity?
Me: Dad!

Really!? Hahahahahha. He did end up saying he would find me one though. :)

Then later, Kayleigh keeps speaking in a English accent.. and since she is grounded she is hanging out with us..
John: If you don't take a hike (we were in the bedroom and I was trying to change) I am going to take off my knickers and beat you with them.
Me: You are going to beat her with your underwear???
John: No, that means shoes.
Me: No, that means underwear.
Kayleigh: Laughing hysterically... hahahahahaha, John is going to beat me with his underwear!
John: No, it means like boots, shoes...
Me: No, Google it.

When you Google "knickers" this is the Wikipedia that shows up.

John: Actually it's another name for "panties".
Kayleigh: Hahahahahaha, John is going to beat me with his panties! Hahahahahaha.

Me: Shoes.

Love Dare -- Day 2

Kindness:

Kindness is love in action. If patience is how love reacts in order to minimize a negative circumstance, kindness is how love acts to maximize a positive circumstance. Patience avoids a problem; kindness creates a blessing. One is preventative, one is proactive.

Love makes you kind. And kindness makes you likeable. When you're kind people want to be around you.


It is difficult to demonstrate love when you feel little to no motivation. But love in its truest sense is not based on feelings. Rather, love determines to show thoughtful actions even when there seems to be no reward. You will never learn to love until you learn to demonstrate kindness.

** In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

My questions:

What discoveries about love did you make today? Umm, I didn't really participate in this one.. But, I did realize I need to be more patient.
What specifically did you do in this dare? I didn't. He went to bed early.. But I am going to try tomorrow.
How did you show kindness? I will do better... but I did try not to say anything negative to him.

Ok, I am going to blog again later.. Sorry if y'all get tired of it, you don't have to read it ;).. but I want to talk about my resolutions. :)
